Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention and Response

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention and Response In the context of Somalia, where gender-based violence remains a significant concern, SASDO places a strong emphasis on preventing and responding to GBV. Our GBV programs are led by women and tailored to the specific cultural and social contexts of Somalia. We work closely with local communities, women’s groups, and relevant stakeholders to address the root causes of GBV, provide support services for survivors, and advocate for policy and legal reforms to combat GBV effectively. Through community engagement, awareness campaigns, and capacity building, we aim to create a protective environment that empowers women and girls, reduces the prevalence of GBV, and ensures access to essential support services for survivors.
