Celebrating the Conclusion of World Breastfeeding Week 2024!
From August 1-7, SASDO joined the global community in celebrating World Breastfeeding Week, raising awareness about the vital benefits of breastfeeding for both mothers and babies. This year’s theme, “Closing the Gap: Breastfeeding Support for All,” underscores the importance of making breastfeeding support accessible to everyone, regardless of their circumstances.
Throughout the week, we engaged with mothers, healthcare workers, and the community through various activities:
- Workshops and Seminars: Educating about the importance of breastfeeding and offering support to new mothers.
- Healthcare Support: Providing resources and assistance to breastfeeding mothers in our communities.
- Community Outreach: Sharing success stories and information through community meetings and social media.
We are incredibly proud of the positive impact made this week and are committed to continuing our efforts to support and promote breastfeeding in our communities.
